Here’s my TOP 10 of under 21 high potential (75+) cheap (value under € 1 mil) left backs in Fifa 17.
I ranked them by potential and listed their strengths and weaknesses.
Hopefully this list can be of use to anyone who’s looking for a cheap left back with high future value. Try to pick these guys up early in your career as their value (and price) will only go up!

TOP 10 cheap high potential left backs
1. Blas Riveros
OVR: 64 | POT: 82
Value: €750K | Wage: €2K
+ Pace, Agility, Balance, Stamina
– Strength, Passing
Riveros is speedy and has very good stamina. His actual defending needs some training, but he’s definitely a future LB star with that potential!
2. Rico Henry
OVR: 65 | POT: 81
Value: €900K | Wage: €1K
+ Pace, Stamina, Agility, Balance, High attacking work rate
– Strength, Long passing, Positioning, Crossing
Rico Henry has insane speed and agility. Combined with a high attacking work rate and stamina, he can run up and down the left side of the pitch all game long. Once his defending stats go up, he’ll be a good left back for almost any team.
3. Angeliño
OVR: 65 | POT: 80
Value: €950 | Wage: €4K
+ Pace, Agility, Balance, High attacking work rate, Free kick accuracy
– Strength, Interceptions
In addition to an awesome nickname, Angeliño has good pace, agility and a high attacking work rate. His stat distribution is pretty good, both in attack and defense, and he’s good at free kicks. Angeliño is definitely a good pick up for many teams!
4. Maximilian Mittelstädt
OVR: 64 | POT: 80
Value: €800K | Wage: €1K
+ Pace, Agility, Balance, Dribbling, Crossing
– Strength, Positioning
Despite lacking in strength and positioning, Maximilian has a bright future. His defensive stats are good and he’s decently pacey. 80 potential means he’ll grow fast and well, making him a good future left back for your career mode team!
5. Cristian Gutiérrez
OVR: 66 | POT: 79
Value: €975K | Wage: €1K
+ Pace, Agility, Balance, Strength, Stamina
– None of his crucial skills are really bad
Gutiérrez’ skills are average to good overall, with a nice distribution between attacking and defending. He’ll become a good overall left back in the future, no doubt.
6. Arellano
OVR: 64 | POT: 79 | Value: €800K | Wage: €1K
+ Pace, Balance, Agility, Strength, Ball control, Crossing
– Stamina, Long passing, Positioning, Marking, Interceptions
Arellano seems more attacking oriented to me. Which is definitely okay if you’re looking for a left back that joins the attack. His crossing is higher than most players with his overall, so you could definitely expect some accurate crosses from him.
7. Joe Riley
OVR: 64 | POT: 79 | Value: €800K | Wage: €4K
+ Pace, Balance, Stamina
– Marking, Interceptions, Positioning, Long passing, Strength
Joe Riley is pacey and has good stamina. His defending skills aren’t bad, neither is his crossing, so I believe he’ll become a good left back player in the future. Buy him early in your career to get the most value out of him!
8. Ulisses Garcia
OVR: 64 | POT: 78 | Value: €850K | Wage: €1K
+ Pace, Stamina, Strength
– Long shots, Crossing, Positioning, Passing, Marking
Ulisses is pretty good physically, but his other stats are lower than average. However, with his potential he will still become a good left back for almost any team.
9. Andrija Vukčević
OVR: 63 | POT: 78 | Value: €600K | Wage: €1K
+ Pace, Stamina, Strength, Shot power
– Positioning, Long shots, Marking
Andrija is pacey and has decent strength and stamina. His other stats are quite average, but his potential that won’t be a problem in the future.
10. Jay Dasilva
OVR: 59 | POT: 78 | Value: €270K | Wage: €1K
+ Pace, High attacking work rate
– Shot power, Long shots, Ball control, Positioning, Passing, Marking
This young Englishman has pace, that’s about it. His other skills are all lower than average, however this means his value is also very low. If you’re willing to train and grow him, Dasilva can become a good left back for your team for a very cheap price!
